Background Music

Plus also I like to play the piano too:)
Wouldn't life be better with background music?
       The answer is Yes!

I already love it when my apartment is filled with music because my roommate has a piano. When we were room roommates she used to pull her keyboard out from under her bed and play me all kinds of songs. And she would play me to sleep sometimes too. You see when I was little my mom used to play the piano all the time, and I would lie on our living room couch and just listen to the beautiful music. It wasn't abnormal for me to fall asleep while she was playing either, so now any time I hear the piano it has a special place in my heart. - plus also I can't help myself from falling for guys who play it for me...Just so you know, that is an attractive talent in Jill's book.

But I'm not talking about merely playing the piano constantly or tuning into the radio or your i-pod. I'm talking about actual background music, like in the movies!

I want a triumphant melody to play when I come out of the testing center with a A! Or when I finish a paper I've been working on for 2 weeks and I turn it in on time. I want a symphony to play when I kiss someone for the first time. Wouldn't that just be awesome!? I think so.

Maybe this is just because I get all giddy when I watch chick flicks like Ever After, While You Were Sleeping, Return to Me, and A Cinderella Story. I want to fall in love and I want music playing when it happens.
Or maybe it's because I sing epic theme songs in my head when I finish tests and school projects anyway...so everyone else might as well be able to hear it too right?

Why not smile?

Life is awesome! Really, it is. So why do we complain so much and stress out about little things and get bummed out when things don't go exactly as planned?
I've been thinking about this a lot lately and it all boils down to this: it's all about choices. I have the choice of whether I'm going to be a lazy bum on a Friday night because no one invited me to hang out or if I'm going to take matters into my own hands and invite someone to do something with ME. Wow...crazy idea right?
My mom always told me that if I'm having a bad day I should turn around and make someone else's day better. Ya know I've tried this...it totally works.

Plus also did you know that laughter and smiling is contagious? Yeah I know, that's like the best news ever.
I honestly believe that laughing makes you healthier and happier. These last few weeks I have been so happy because I've found myself in situations where I'm just laughing constantly: At work, hanging out with friends, in class (ok so this one is probably not the best because then I don't pay attention...but you get the idea). And then I just leave with the biggest smile on my face that just doesn't go away. Thank goodness for happy friends. Actually I literally thank my Heavenly Father every day for people who make me smile and laugh.

Sorry my thoughts have been a bit of a jumbled mess but there you go. Woot:)
